Lauren was born in Singapore. During the process of creating the performance, Lauren recalled her relationship
with a “Domestic helper”, Kanthi. She was from Sri Lanka and took care of Lauren for several years. Kanthi returns
to her country to care for her daughter who was already a teenager. For a few years they continued to write to each
other until Lauren doesn’t know why, but she stopped writing to her.
